Before starting job as a CNA, students are often required to complete a checkup that accredits they are literally fit sufficient to perform the tasks of a nursing assistant. On top of that, trainees will need to pass a TB test and show evidence of present immunizations prior to collaborating with patients.


Many states call for nursing aides to undergo a criminal background check prior to starting work. Some institutions or states will spend for these background checks on behalf of the trainees, and in various other situations fingerprinting and history checks cost the trainees around $20-$40. Each state needs nursing assistants pass an accreditation test in order to begin working.


In addition to tuition some colleges might bill added program fees, such as technology costs, lab charges or application costs.
